Fathers wants more than ties, tools and tech. . .
Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with those gifts. They’ll love anything you give them because it came from you.
BUT…
A tie will be worn a few times, a tool will be used occasionally, a tech will be used until it’s not of service – again great gifts, but what if there was something better?
Something more meaningful?
More impactful?
Experiences are scientifically found to bring more joy and long-lasting happiness any material items. Giving the gift of an experience works on multiple Love Languages:
An experience is a gift (gift giving), when shared (quality time) can build memories, create heartfelt moments (touch), and the reflections (words of affirmation) of that experience can echo in their mind. Only part remaining is doing something for them (act of service), something rarely asked but greatly appreciated.
One area where you’ll like most father’s neglect spending is self-investment.
My pitch . . .
Most men aren’t forthcoming with their emotions or internal processing because they don’t want to be a burden. They rather “figure it out” or die trying. Father’s especially want to be the hero in their family, not because they crave the attention, but because society made them to be our heroes.
Brené Brown highlights an interaction in this shortened clip that sums up how most men feel about asking for help:
There’s NOTHING wrong with wanting to believe our father’s a hero.
All heroes need to rest, reflection, and to re-strategize. BUT…
Not seeing them as a person, with complexities, can hurt them even more. BUT…
They won’t say a word because they’ll “figure it out or die trying”.
They won’t self-invest in their mental and emotional wellbeing because they’ve associated asking for help as a sign of weakness.
They want permission, they need a nudge, they need support so they can become curious about giving it a try… because “figure it out or die trying” isn’t the best option.
My offer . . . (expires June 12th)

Give them permission and a gift of an experience this Father’s day that allows them to invest themselves.
They may hesitate, they may resist, but they’ll love the gift because it came from you.
I’m offering a 20% discount on my services because I believe all father’s need to take a moment to put down their cape, and be human, complex, messy, insecure, imperfect, with the capability to surprise everyone.
